Fall is the time for many of us to change the décor in our planters.
But not all our plants are ready to be tossed — many of them are still looking good. So start by removing just the sad-looking plants.
I do this with a shaped, serrated knife or root knife. But if you don’t have one, pick up a bread knife at a discount store. It will work just as well. Cut around the plants you want to remove from your planter. By doing this, you will not disrupt the plants you want to keep. Once the plants have been removed, you can now add some fall interest.
